My name is Jessica, and I'm a 29-year-old high school teacher from Denver, Colorado.

When my partner and I decided we were ready to start a family, I honestly thought getting pregnant would be easy. Like a lot of people, I assumed it would happen within a few months. But as one cycle turned into another, I found myself getting more and more discouraged.

At first, I tried not to worry about it. My friends and family kept reminding me that conception can take time, and I really wanted to stay positive. 

However, after several months of negative pregnancy tests and endless ovulation predictor kits (OPKs), I started wondering if there was something more going on. 

That's when I scheduled an appointment with my doctor. And after some routine testing, we discovered that my luteinizing hormone (LH) levels were lower than expected. And while this didn't answer all of my questions, it was the first clue that my hormones might be playing a role in the challenges we were facing.

Why I Started Looking Into Hormone Tracking

I knew from that doctor's appointment that my LH levels were low. But what I didn't know was if my lower-than-average LH levels were causing me to miss my fertile window each month, or if I was even ovulating when I thought I was.

Before, every cycle seemed to bring more questions than answers. I was constantly wondering whether I was ovulating, whether I was timing things correctly, and whether my low LH levels were affecting my chances of conceiving. 

However, once I started seeing my hormone patterns more clearly, it felt like a cloud of stress had been lifted. My cycle finally made sense, and for my partner and me, it meant everything.
