Sheridan Rossi | Healing, PCOS, and Finding Confidence in My Body Again

This is a customer’s personal experience shared from an interview. Individual experiences may differ based on health conditions. This tool does not diagnose or treat diseases. Please consult your doctor.

When Sheridan returned from her honeymoon in late 2022, life surprised her with a positive pregnancy test. It wasn’t planned, and she and her husband were initially scared as it happened unexpectedly. Later on, they found out it was ectopic. Thankfully, no surgery was needed, but soon after her cycles stopped altogether. This experience reshaped how Sheridan looked at her health, and the healing journey is what made her and her husband eventually realize what they truly wanted.

“The only time I’d ever been pregnant, it was ectopic. And then I lost my cycle completely. That was my wake-up call; something was really wrong.”

A Diagnosis That Didn’t Feel Like an Answer

For months, Sheridan sought help from her OB, only to feel dismissed. Even after a fertility clinic diagnosed her with PCOS, she didn’t get the clarity she was looking for. “The worry of not having a healthy reproductive system was not being heard,” she recalled

Doctors offered quick fixes: birth control or pills to induce bleeding, but Sheridan wanted more than a band-aid. She wanted to understand why her body had stopped working the way it should.

Choosing a Different Path

Determined to find answers, Sheridan turned to holistic care and eventually found a functional medicine doctor who ran extensive tests. Those results uncovered what no one else had: her liver wasn’t detoxing properly, and that imbalance was driving her PCOS symptoms.

From there, she began a comprehensive five-month healing protocol: detoxing, stress management, gut repair, and big lifestyle changes.

“I radically changed my life. It was five months of really hard work, but I finally started to feel healthy again.”

By the end, her cycles returned. They weren’t regular yet, but for the first time, she could see progress.

Seeing the Whole Picture with Mira

In January 2024, Sheridan’s doctor finally gave her the green light to try to conceive again. This time, she knew she needed better tools. As an engineer, numbers had always mattered to her, and regular ovulation test strips felt like guesswork.

“I’m an engineer. I don’t just want a smiley face. I want numbers,” she said.

With Mira, Sheridan tracked her hormones and confirmed she was ovulating again, later than expected, around day 21–23. For the first time in years, she could see her body working in real time.

A Pregnancy Test She Could Finally Believe

That very first cycle using Mira, Sheridan conceived. At first, she could hardly believe it. “I had seen so many negatives for so long that when I saw that faint line, I thought I was imagining it.”

Blood work and an early ultrasound confirmed the pregnancy was viable. The mix of relief and gratitude was overwhelming. “I almost cried more for the version of me who had been so strong through all of this, because it was finally worth it.”

What I Want Others to Know

Now preparing to welcome her baby, Sheridan is using her platform to share encouragement. “It’s not impossible. Your body is powerful. If you give it the right environment and the right time, it can heal.”

Her advice is simple: focus on what you can control: your diet, your stress, your daily habits, and let your body respond. She also encourages others to rethink their identity: “I stopped saying ‘I’m infertile’ and started saying ‘I’m healing.’ That changed everything.”

Today, Sheridan looks forward to using Mira postpartum to continue tracking her health and to guide her whenever she and her husband decide to grow their family again.
