SEX HORMONES AWARENESS WEEK 2026
WE GREW UP UNINFORMED.
FUTURE GENERATIONS DON'T HAVE TO.
Sex education is failing girls and women.
It’s time to fix it.
Poor sex education has real consequences for women’s lives:
90% NOT PREPARED
of Americans say sex ed didn’t prepare them for real life.
>55% CANNOT IDENTIFY
how long a period lasts or how to time ovulation.
57% FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE
having conversations about sex hormone health.
The current state of sex education speaks volumes
Only 19 states
require sex education to be medically accurate.
Only 25% of education standards
require sex education to teach menstrual health beyond puberty.
Most U.S. states (39)
still mandate abstinence-focused sex education.
Informed girls grow into confident women.
What we’re changing with this petition:
Make sex education comprehensive by including basic hormonal health.
Knowledge inclusive of all bodies and identities.
Cover puberty, cycles, hormonal imbalances, basic fertility, and family-making decisions.
We shouldn’t wait until something feels wrong to learn about our sex hormones.
Hormones influence how we feel, function, age, reproduce, and heal—throughout our entire lives.
But, for generations, hormone health has been missing from the conversations that help women build a more informed, confident future.
Let’s change that.
Adult women pay the cost of poor sex education
1 in 2 women face 6+ month delays in hormonal diagnoses like PCOS.
