FAQ
Testing with Mira is an easy morning routine.
Step 1: Dip the test wand into urine for 20 seconds.
Step 2: Insert the wand into the Mira Monitor.
Step 3: Your hormone results will automatically sync with the Mira App.
To define your menopause stage, Mira will analyze your hormones over time, providing insight into ovarian function and approaching menopause. The schedule of testing itself will be provided by the app.
To define the stage in the Mira App, you should test for 2 cycles (or 2 months if you don’t have period). But we will share preliminary insights after the 1st cycle!
The testing schedule is easy to follow – the Mira App provides instructions on testing days with specific wands.
Why test for 2 months?
FSH levels can vary significantly, both within and between cycles, making single measurements unreliable. By testing over 2 cycles, you can identify clearer patterns, providing more accurate insights and aligning with medical guidelines.
Menopause transition is something all of us (will) experience as we age, but it’s different for everyone. This transition can take years for some people, and during that time, the changes happening inside can cause physical symptoms, affect decisions around fertility, or impact your overall well-being. There’s no one-size-fits-all rule for when or how menopause stages may arrive, and that’s why monitoring this transition is so insightful.
With the Mira menopause test kit, you can monitor your hormone levels at home to define exactly where you are in your journey—whether you’re still in your late reproductive years, early or late perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause. While Mira doesn’t diagnose, it gives you valuable insights to:
- connect symptoms to hormone changes,
- confirm if you still ovulate,
- start meaningful discussions with practitioners,
- and even track the response to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with your doctor.
Mira Hormone Monitor offers superior accuracy and technology, specifically designed for hormone tracking with professional lab equipment. It provides a comprehensive solution beyond regular FSH strips, delivering a wealth of information and AI-driven insights.
Mira Monitor is the first and only at-home hormone tracker built on advanced technology (fluorescent immunochromatography), making hormone readings precise, sensitive, and reliable.
Investing in such a sensitive period of your life is crucial for gaining confidence and taking control of your hormonal health, empowering you to make informed decisions for your aging well-being.
We measure hormones in urine, offering a snapshot without needles or lab visits.
Unlike blood test for menopause, that is just a single-time check of FSH, the Menopause Transition Kit monitors hormones for 2 months, analyzing your FSH variability.
Only a medical professional can diagnose and confirm menopause. Mira provides the most likely stage based on your hormone levels and cycle patterns.
Also, you will be able to download full hormone report (including your hormone charts and values) to discuss it with your doctor.
If you receive in the Mira App result that you’re in a Menopause or Postmenopause stage, you should not stop taking contraceptives without confirming it with a healthcare professional.
Sure! You can download and share your report with your provider once your Menopause Transition stage is defined. Your doctor can find a lot of valuable insights about your hormone health from this report.
Mira Hormone Monitor can provide valuable insights at any stage after the age of 35, including:
- Late Reproductive Age: Regular cycles, subtle hormonal changes.
- Early Menopause Transition: Perimenopause begins, with variable cycle lengths and fluctuating hormonal levels.
- Late Menopause Transition: Highly irregular cycles, 60+ days between periods.
- Menopause: Begins after 12 consecutive months without a period.
- Postmenopause: No periods, stabilized hormone levels.
Yes! By testing FSH, LH, PdG, and E3G, you can see your Menopause Transition stage and if you ovulate, Mira will also accurately predict your ovulation and fertile window, all in one app.
If you haven’t purchased the Menopause Transitions Kit yet, check out the Mira Hormone Monitor: Clarity Kit, designed to help you conceive faster after 35. However, the Menopause Transition Kit will still work for you and all App modes (TTC, Menopause Transition, etc) are available with any Kit purchased. Ensure you identify your testing goal in App to receive a personalized experience, testing schedule and recommendations.
